Sunday, September 19th, 2010 beginning at 7 pm.  Bradford Academy, Bradford VT

On Friday evening on September 17th teams of filmmakers will be arriving in Bradford VT to kick off a 48 hour contest to create the best short film in time to be shown and judged on Sunday evening, the 19th at the Bradford Academy. 
 
48 HourFilm contests are now taking place inover 70 cities around the world.  Our contest will begin on the evening of the 17th with a simple opening ceremony.  Atthis time, the filmmakers will be given their assignments and requirementswhich could include a specific line of dialogue, a prop, and a local landmarkthat must be used in each film.  Also,they will choose from a hat the genre of the film, be it comedy, drama, horror,etc.  The Film Slam concludes 48 hours later with a screening of shortfilms made over the weekend.  A panel of notable judges will beassembled and will award prizes which typically include Best Film, Best Story,Best Use of Line, etc.  The showing on Sunday will be open to the public and will be free of charge.
