If the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest is so cool it's
indescribable, then the Ms. Piggie Competition is off the charts!
Imagine, if it's not too painful, grown men and women dressed in tutus
and snouts parading around the stage and 'singing' (which is a generous
term) familiar songs, with very unfamiliar lyrics ... lyrics having
to do with pork, grilling, and the whole sport of barbecue. Yes, it's
the Ms. Piggie contest, the most hilarious and entertaining event
during the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest.
It is the event not to be missed! |
- You'll get free admission to the festival, and
free whole pig BBQ, when you come dressed as your interpretation
of Ms. Piggie.
- Ask one of our local businesses and other organizations
to sponsor you. (Of course you may sponsor yourself.)
- The only requirement is that you wear a pig snout.
Beyond that, you're on your own. Be creative.
- "Official" Pig Snouts will be available
at the festival (first come, first served) or at Hill's 5¢
and 10¢ starting July 24.
- Nice prizes - First Prize is $150! - plus a whole lot of fun.
- Come cheer for your favorite Ms. Piggie.
- Judging at 4:30pm.
