Celebrating those that make the Cohase great!

On January 21, 2020 over 100 guest and members gathered at alumni hall in Haverhill, NH for the Annual meeting and dinner. In addition to witness the business of electing officers to the Board of Directors, guests gathered in celebration of the individuals and business that have made a significant contribution to the region by presenting awards to the 2019 Cohase Chamber of Commerce citizen and business of the year.

The State of the Chamber was presented by Executive Director, Sarah Pushee, including a review of Chamber events and recognition of event sponsors whose support is crucial to the success of our events. New Chamber members were recognized, and the crowd was shown The Arduous Journey by The Four Wheeler Productions, winning film of the 10th Annual Cohase 48-Hour Film Slam.

Guest Speaker Erika Hoffman-Kiess, Workforce Development Consultant, spoke to the crowd about her experiences designing, implementing and evaluating international workforce and economic development initiatives, and of the lessons that could be applied universally. A report on the findings of the recent state-funded workforce development project she worked on with Vermont’s Regional Development Corporations will be released on January 31, 2020.

Larry Coffin, former Citizen of the Year, presented the 2019 Cohase Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year honor to Robert Elder of Piermont, NH. Marvin Harrison and Dale Bromely were on hand to present Craig and Lisa Hervey Craig Hervey Housewright Construction as 2019 Cohase Chamber of Cofommerce Business of the Year.

The buffet dinner was catered by the Colatina Exit, and featured dishes incorporating ingredients sourced from several different farms throughout the Cohase Region. Our thanks to Event Sponsors Two-Rivers Ottaquechee Regional Planning Commission and WYKR as well as Undercover Tents, The Space On Main, Court Street Arts and Angela, Vin, Melissa and their crew for providing us with excellent service!
