We guarantee that volunteering at Tomten Farm and Sanctuary has little to do with sitting around. It’s hard work and we do it 365 days a year, morning, noon and night. But with your help there is time for each of us to simply be and even more time to make a difference in the lives of humans and animals.
If you have ever wanted to make an impact in your community, have regular time to give and are interested in finding out if Tomten Farm and Sanctuary is the organization for you, don’t miss this special opportunity to get involved in what is sure to be our best year yet.
Here is your chance to get to know some of our existing volunteers, meet our animals, hear their histories, familiarize yourself with our mission, methods and philosophies and ask questions galore. Of course, we hope you have already joined our journey virtually, but if not, there is still time to get to know us long before this day via facebook and the web. Go ahead, check us out, we bet you will be glad you did!
As with any event, structure makes it smoother, so there is necessary fine print. Due to the personal nature of this event there is limited space available. As is always the case here at TF&S, this is an email RSVP only event, no drop ins please.
Should you wish to register, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will reserve your spot right away. As the event draws closer we will send out specific details and a volunteer application. Please note all interested individuals will be required to sign a liability release and show a valid photo ID the day of this event.
Participation in this introductory event does not guarantee a volunteer position nor does it require attendees to commit to one. While we do our best to welcome all, Tomten Farm and Sanctuary takes volunteering and the welfare of our volunteers, our animals, our farm and our organization seriously. Therefore we do our best to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship, offering personalized, hands on training designed to help each individual navigate safely and kindly through the farm, become as involved as possible and enjoy each moment to the fullest. We are seeking volunteers with an genuine interest in making a difference through becoming an integral part of our organization, our animal’s lives, our team and our community. No experience is necessary but an open mind, kind heart, love for humans and animals, responsible work ethic, regular availability, and true desire to make an impact are.
We so hope to see your rsvp and meet you in person as you join us on April 14th to consider a volunteer experience unlike any other. Plan to arrive at 10:15. Our gate does not open until 10:15, sorry, no earlier as we are still doing morning chores. Orientation and tour begins promptly at 10:30 and is expected to go until 1:30.
Neigh, quack, baaa, meow, woof, cluck, oink, honk, maaa, bray and of course, moo! See you soon!
