2018 Cohase Chamber Farm Tour

August 19 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

- Free

Each year in August, the Chamber hosts our Annual Farm Tour.  This event is a chance for residents and visitors alike to visit a diversity of farms and other agricultural businesses in our region.  We try to select a small number of  diverse farms each year and this year is no exception!  Farmers and hosts at the farms below are available to show you their farms and answer any questions you may have.  A great family and educational event.  You never know what you will see!

We are pleased to include The Robie Farm (Piermont), Root 5 Farm (Fairlee), Tomten Farm & Sanctuary (Haverhill), Peaked Moon Farm (Piermont) and Macwilham Farm (Bradford) this year.

Please note that Tomten Farm & Sanctuary requires you to present a valid ID and sign a Release Waiver before entering.  They will have some available there but you can save time by completing one in advance by clicking here.

Scroll down for details about each farm or click here for a downloadable brochure. For a listing of places where you can pick up a printed brochure, click here.

Since 1870 seven generations of the Robie family have worked this 150-acre farm on the pastoral banks of the Connecticut River in Piermont, New Hampshire with the White Mountains of New Hampshire on the eastern horizon and the Green Mountains of Vermont on the west. From spring to fall our herd of Normande and Jersey cows graze day and night on lush grass and during the winter months they are fed hay and are supplemented with protein rich grain. The proper ratio of Normande to Jersey cows in our herd enables us to produce the best quality milk, cheese and meat available anywhere. As small family operated farms dwindle in number, farms such as ours are an increasing rarity. In order to “survive” we have diversified the farm’s operations and are now able to provide a wide range of products that are produced both here on our farm and on other farms in our area that maintain the same high-quality standards that we keep here on the Robie Farm. We have also partnered with local meat processors in order to maintain a supply of quality, all-natural meats to keep up with the growing demand.
