From Mudpuppies to Wood Turtles

March 31 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

- $10

Jim Andrews, head of The Vermont Reptile and Amphibian Atlas Project, will give a slide presentation on the denizens of our forest floor and pools on March 31, 2020, as part of FCA’s monthly “Secret Lives” series of lectures on Upper Valley wildlife and habitats.

Jim is a herpetologist/wildlife biologist, chair of the Reptile and Amphibian Scientific Advisory Group to the Vermont Endangered Species Committee, coordinator for the Vermont Reptile and Amphibian Atlas Project, one of the region’s signature “citizen science” initiatives and an online catalog of virtually every species of reptile and amphibian in our hills. In addition to many local conservation efforts, he also works with the Vermont Agency of Transportation to help minimize the impacts of transportation infrastructure and traffic on wildlife.

The ultimate goal of the Vermont Reptile and Amphibian Atlas is to gather and disseminate the data that are needed on the reptiles and amphibians of Vermont in a way that involves and informs Vermont individuals and organizations so that they can become more informed and effective stewards of wildlife habitat.
