It’s Mardi Gras time, and who better to ‘laissez les bon temps roulez’ on up North into Fairlee than the Rusty Bearings Brass Band and their Upper Valley versions of New Orleans jazz. Fairlee Community Arts invites you to Fairlee’s first Mardi Gras Party, Saturday February 23 in the Town Hall auditorium. A Cajun-inspired dinner will be served from 6 until the band’s intermission (chicken and smoked sausage jambalaya, crawfish pasta, bread pudding with warm whiskey sauce by Shayne Brunet of Eateries Catering). The band starts playing at 7. So get out your plastic beads, party masks, and flamboyant finery for a night of dancing and revelry. Bring your family, friends and neighbors, or meet new ones. Advance tickets recommended (www.fairleearts.org). Admission is $10 single, $15 couple, $20 family. There is an additional cost for the dinner ($9 main course, $5 dessert).
