Have you been waiting to visit? Don’t sleep through our first public tour of 2019.
If you love animals, want to make an impact and are interested in finding out more about Tomten Farm and Sanctuary, this event is for you! Perhaps you want to find out how you can make a difference or you are chomping at the bit to return and see old friends, the rescues that together we saved. Maybe you just can’t wait to see the progress of our barn and find out what’s in store this season as we continue striving to be more, do more and give more to animals in need. Whatever the reason, you’re invited to join us, on May 19th and we can’t wait to have you on the journey.
Go ahead, grab your calendar and reserve the day – Sunday, May 19th and get us an rsvp for all who will be joining you.
Here is your chance to get up close and personal with animals, hear their histories, and familiarize yourself with our mission, methods and philosophies. If you missed our Aspiring Volunteer Orientation and Tour, this is a great chance to find out about our volunteer and educational opportunities as well, all while immersing yourself in our beautiful farm located right here in New Hampshire’s beautiful White Mountains.
Here are the details. Plan to arrive at 12:15. Our gate does not open until 12:15 (sorry, no earlier as we are preparing) and our tour begins promptly at 12:30. It typically takes close to two hours (depending on questions) and of course, we hope you’ll stay a little longer to enjoy the view, peruse and perhaps purchase our TF&S swag, spend a little extra time with the animals and have all of your questions answered. Gates close at 3:15 so we can clean up and get started on evening chores in a timely fashion.
As with any event, structure makes it smoother, so there is necessary fine print. Head count is important and as always, this is RSVP only event. We apologize but based on past experience, WE CANNOT ACCEPT FB clicks, ”interested” or “going” as a formal response (but we absolutely love to see your enthusiasm and informal response). Please, please, please let us know if we should place you on the guest list via an email at email@example.com. Be certain to let us know with who so we can get your entire party on our roster and pass along our address. Should your plans change, please be sure to let us know so others may attend – tours almost always fill and we hate to say no to an inquiring visitor only to find there was actually room. We regret that no early birds, late arrivals or unexpected drop-ins are allowed as it detracts from the experience of others.
As always, there is no formal admission charge to join the fun, however, we sincerely and humbly ask for contributions of any wish list item, https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/NQY09C0GIVRZ or the gift of a monetary donation of any amount. It is a costly venture to keep this farm afloat and we can’t care for the animals, operate our day-to-day, grow or host you, our fabulous guests without the help and support of all who enjoy it. Join us, make a difference and be part of the journey. Together we make dreams come true for animals in need.
Important details. Security and safety is important to the well being of all at TF&S. We require a signed release and a photo ID to enter our property from each individual- no exceptions. I know it seems like a lot however, with children, animals and strangers at our personal home, it is important. Please print Tomten releases off the website (http://tomtenfarmandsanctuary.org/TomtenLiabilityForm.pdf) peruse at your leisure, sign and bring with you to the Tour.
Don’t forget to RSVP, bring great energy and any and all questions you have about us (we love, love, love questions!), the animals or our upcoming plans. Whether it’s your first visit or you’re a returning supporter, we can’t wait to see you and we guarantee you will have a fulfilling experience.
Neigh, quack, baaaa, meow, woof, cluck, oink, honk, maaa, bray and of course, moooo! See you soon!
