Decorating Contest!

Anyone who watches TV can tell you that the Holiday Season is already upon us. But the holiday season is more than just opening presents on your particular day of choice. It also includes, for many people, the opportunity to do some extra shopping, visit some friends or relatives, and to do a little something extra to your outsides, whether it be your home or your business (or even yourself). In that spirit the Cohase Chamber of Commerce is encouraging everyone to join our Holiday Decorating Contest. 

If you are a business in the Cohase region, not only will your name appear on the website and in social media postings, but your entry can bring customers to your front door. Again, it does not matter which holiday you are celebrating, just send in your business name and address and you will be added to the map of other businesses vying for the title of “Best Decorated” for 2025. That title includes a trophy that you can display showing your superiority.

If you are a resident and want to show off all your hard work, simply send in your address. It will be added to the map. The top three residential entries will receive prize money of $300, $200 and $100. Plus recognition for a job well done. 

To all those members of the public who will certainly enjoy all the festive decorations, it is your job to choose the winners. Beginning December 1 you simply need to go to this page to download the map of entrants, then drive around and enjoy the sights (and maybe sounds). Then cast your vote before December 29, 2025. Winners in both business and residential categories will be announced in early January, as well as getting recognition at the Cohase Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting on Tuesday, January 20th at Alumni Hall in Haverhill. 

The Cohase Chamber of Commerce represents the towns of Haverhill, Piermont and Orford, New Hampshire, and Newbury, Bradford and Fairlee, Vermont, as well as surrounding towns. You are asked to please register by November 30 to be placed on the map. There is no entry fee, or fee to vote thanks to our great sponsors, Copeland Furniture, Valley Floors, Wells River Savings Bank, Farmway, Bar Harbor Bank and Trust, Community Bank N.A, The Journal Opinion, and WYKR Radio.
