    • Woodsville Boat Launch

This is our 23 Year, and we look forward to see old friends and meeting new Paddlers.

Paddle the Border Spring Sunday May 17th This is the 23rd year Woodsville Community Field to the Bedell Bridge State Park Boat Launch off Route 10, Haverhill Corner, NH

Paddle the Border was started as a way for community organizations from Vermont and New Hampshire to work together to " Show Case" their shared asset, the Connecticut River. The paddle is held twice a year {spring & fall} as a way of introducing people to the Connecticut River. Showing them places to put in, take out, and Upper Valley Land Trust campsites, allowing them to get a feel for the river, its twists and turns in a fun festive atmosphere that will encourage them to come back. By encouraging paddlers to explore the Connecticut River, meet new friends and fellow paddlers, we are promoting the Natural, Cultural, Historical, Scenic, and Recreational resources of the Connecticut River Valley in a way that provides an economic boost to the area twice a year.

At the end of the paddle, we encourage folks from various local organizations to set up displays offering information about the Connecticut River, The Connecticut River Valley and events happening in the Upper Connecticut River valley.

The event is sponsored by The Newbury Conservation Commission, Haverhill Parks and Recreation, and Cohase Chamber of Commerce.

With support from Upper Valley Land Trust, Bradford Park & Rec, Upper Valley Trails Alliance, Strawberry Farm Band, Butler's Bus Service, Haverhill Conservation Commission, Connecticut River Conservancy.

    Cookout by Jazz’s Children Fund!

As time goes on and the river flows, Our volunteers age and for some it is time to go. With springtime here and new flow to our river, Let’s hope the current will bring us new volunteers.

We are looking for new Volunteers to help with PTB!
